Spotify for Windows Phone 7 hands-on | The Verge →
It is great to see Spotify for Windows 7 finally make it’s appearance but I am already invested in Zune Pass and can’t see myself forking out another $10 a month for streaming music. The only advantage I see that Spotify has over Zune Pass is that there is cross platform capability. It would be pretty awesome to set a playlist on my iPhone and then pick up my Windows Phone and have...

the understatement: Android Orphans: Visualizing a... →
understatementblog: The announcement that Nexus One users won’t be getting upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich led some to justifiably question Google’s support of their devices. I look at it a little differently: Nexus One owners are lucky. I’ve been researching the history of OS updates on Android phones…

Occupy Wall Street global protests - The Big... →
Some great pictures from the Occupy events that took place around the globe last weekend. There is definitely something happening here and it’s exciting to see people standing up for themselves and pointing out the growing disparity between rich and poor around the world. I am not sure where all this is headed but it’s fascinating to watch and while I am not able to protest right...

The inside scoop: what happened to the iPhone 5? →
I love 9to5 Mac and while not always the most credible of websites, they are certainly entertaining and this story is no exception. Thinking about it though, this probably isn’t that far off from what really did happen. I am still going to buy the iPhone 4S, even though I tend to agree that the iPhone 5 will make it’s long awaited appearance at WWDC in June 2012.

Apple sells over 4m iPhone 4S in opening weekend -... →
Hey Mikey, I think they like it  So much for the haters who said the 4S was going to be a major flop because this was just a re-purposed iPhone 4. Haters gonna hate. I will admit, at first I wasn’t that impressed but as I delved into the specs and watched the awesomeness of Siri as well as the new and improved Camera, I decided that I would be making this upgrade. I am looking forward...

Amazon Rewrites the Rules of Book Publishing -... →
A grass roots movement within the publishing industry. Amazon is really doing some interesting things with self published authors as well as some bigger names. I hope this leads to a release of the stranglehold that the big Publishers have on the industry which will in turn make it better for us, the consumers.

iPhone 4S Pre-Orders Sold Out At Sprint, Verizon,... →
Well this is not looking promising for me. With a month to go before I could actually use my phone again, I was hoping to try and plan the timing of this purchase so I wouldn’t have to be without it for long. Hopefully Apple can meet demand this time and keep the shipping at 1-2 weeks. If that is the case then I can order in a couple weeks and be ok, but if the time continues to slip then I...

My Next Purchase? →
It’s been about 5 years since I have purchased a Windows machine and with a recent Windows Phone purchase and overall satisfaction with the phone I have started thinking it might be time to get another Windows Machine. Since the iPad, I have been feeling that slates are going to most certainly be the wave of the future and this machine looks to be the start of the wave. The specs are...

This is a great story! Gamers cracked an impossible protein problem related to HIV in 10 days, that scientists had been working on for 15 years. Wow.

Obama HRC Speech 2011: President Talks Gay Rights... →
This is the man that I voted for and I am proud of that. He has done more for gay rights in this country than any other political leader in history. The below quote gave me chills: “We don’t believe in the kind of smallness that says it’s okay for a stage full of political leaders — one of whom could end up being the president of the United States — being silent...

Not who I would consider a champion of gay rights in this country but he speaks common sense and hopefully this will drive home the point to some of his less enlightened fans
